03 |
Narita - Imperial Palace - Asakusa - Ginza - Shinjuku

We begin over exciting tour by visitng the Imperial Palace, where the official residence of the Japanese Imperial Family. Then we head to Asakusa. Asakusa is the part of Tokyo most famous for the Sensoji, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. There is also an above-average density of temples in nishi-(west)-Asakusa.
Later we process to Ginza to feel the modern atmosphere of Japan, then visit Meiji Shrine - covered by an evergreen forest of 120,000 trees of 365 different species, which were donated by people from all parts of Japan when the shrine was established. This 700,000 square-meter forest (about 175 acres) is visited by many people both as a spiritual home of the people and as a recreation and relaxation area in the center of Tokyo.
Tonight we shall be staying at Shinjuku. After checking in of your hotel room you can go shopping and eat and participate in a modern Japanese life on your own leisure. |

Shinjuku - Hakone - Mt. Fuji - Atami

In the morning we head to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office, enjoy the beautiful Tokyo city view at the deck on the 45th floor. In the morning we shall drive up to the world-famous, breathtaking Mt. Fuji's 5th Station (subject to weather conditions). Its beauty will take your breath away and leave you in awe of its splendor. Thereafter to Hakone, be mesmerized by its tranquility and scenic views. Proceed to visit Owakudani, a sulphurous erupting area with smoky hot rivers and hot springs.
Stay overnight in Shinjuku. Enjoy hot spring and dinner in the hotel. |

05 |
Atami - Shinkansen - Shin Osaka - Kobe - Osaska

After breakfast we shall ride on the "Shinkansen", or Bullet Train in other words, and head to Osaka - a major economic center of Japan. Visit Osaka Castle upon arrival. Osaka Castle is originally called Ozakajo, and is one of Japan's most famous castles which played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
Afterward we are heading to Nada and visit the Sake Brewey Museum. Later in the afternoon we shall arrive Kobe. A city tour include Meriken Park, Moto Machi and Nankin Machi will be arranged.
Before going to Mosaic Kobe Harborland to enjoy one of the most beautiful night city views in Japan, we have arranged the world famous Kobe Steak for your dinner tonight. |

Osaka - Nara - Kyoto

We are going to experience the historic part of Japan today. After breakfast we shall proceed to Nara and visit Nara Park, Todaiji and Nara Daibutsu. Nara Daibutsu is the world largest bronze buddha.
Later we shall arrive Kyoto and visit Nijo Castle. In 1601 Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of Tokugawa Shogunate ordered all the feudal lords in Western Japan to contribute to the construction of the Nijo Castle. The construction was completed during the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1626. It was built as the Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa Shoguns.
In Late afternoon we shall arrive Gion. After dinner you may taste the historic atmosphere of Kyoto by browsing around Gion, or you may able to meet some Geisha on the street. |

Kyoto - Kameoka - Arashiyama - Nishijin - Hot Spring Ryokan

Proceed to Kameoka to take the Sagano Romantic Train, enjoy the marvelous view alongside the Hozugawa. (The part will be replaced by a visit to Tenryuji Temple during 1/1 - 2/28, which the Train is on the season break) Later we go to Arashiyama, visit Togetsu-kyo Bridge and Bamboo Walking Path.
After lunch we shall visit Kinkakuji Temple (formally calledRokuon-ji, Deer Garden Temple). The Golden Pavilion (formally called 'Shariden') was originally built in 1397 to serve as a retirement villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. In 1950 the temple was burned down by a mentally disturbed monk; a fictionalized version of the events is at the center of Yukio Mishima's 1956 book The Temple of the Golden Pavilion. The present structure dates from 1955.
Visit the Nishijin Textile Center before check-in your room. Enjoy hot spring bath and delicious dinner in the hotel. |

Kyoto - Osaka

Return to Kyoto and visit Kiyomizu Temple, Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka. Then we shall head to Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was the Imperial Palace of Japan for much of its history until Meiji Restoration.
After lunch we are going to the most famous shopping and dining area of Osaka - Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. Tonight's dinner is on your own, select from the abundance of choices around Dotonbori. |
